I have Rhode Island Reds. All eggs are from same hen. #1 & #3 are normal (oval), but small. 2nd is more round. They are 5 mo old.

Yes, very normal.

Early (pullet) eggs start smaller and grow over time to full-sized. Also unusual eggs (double yolkers, odd shells, etc.) are more likely early on as their systems mature.

That said, the eggs are perfectly edible. Congratulate them and enjoy!

Thank you! Now at ease. She was attacked by something a month or so ago. Had damage to her back and right wing. Lost 3 others in the attack. Just watched her and no medical action taken. She is doing great now and starting to flap her wing now. Letting nature take it's course.

Is it time to change feed? Almost done with the starter 20% for layers. What is the next step? Thanks in advance!
