1st ever duck incubation, please help!!

Now I have extended the hole and can see his beak. I’ve removed the shell above the air sac and moistened the membrane with coconut oil. But did hit a tiny blood vessel so popped him back in the incubator for a few hours to rest and absorb. No sleep for me tonight!!

Is it's beak moving...in a chewing motion (as it absorbs the yolk)?

Seemed to be getting upset trying to get out and not getting anywhere so we went for the full assist. Still has a bit of shell attached but slowly absorbing the yolk sac. Does keep shaking though and seems exhausted.

You assisted too soon so pop it into a papertowel lined margarine container and leave it alone. Possibly won't be up another 24 hours. Leave it in the incubator and don't give it anything by mouth. It's absorbing it's yolk still.

Well we made it! Gradually helped, rested, helped, rested and eventually this afternoon he managed to get out with all the sac absorbed! Hallelujah!! Thankyou for all your help it’s been a stressful three days!

That doesn’t look like any Khaki Campbell I’ve ever seen.

yeah I was gonna say. I hatched Khaki Campbells last spring and they were dark brown...almost black.

Oh ok, well I did buy the eggs off eBay! Still I don’t care I have my baby duckling and totally in love, say hello to wizz! I never knew they moved so quickly!!
