1st flock have a delivery date - from MPC

I have my order planned out on MPC- I just have to hit submit! But I'm giving it one more day to think about if I REALLY want to raise baby chicks. I mean, of course I do, but it can't hurt to think one more night.
I'm getting-
3 White Leghorns
4 Easter Eggers
2 Silver Laced Wyandottes
2 Buff Orphintons
2 Red Stars
and
2 White Silkies! (I have one lonely white silkie in my yard now that needs a family)
I wanted a colorful egg basket and a colorful backyard!
Yay for baby chicks!!!

btw, if the Cream Legbars are not available, you can always go to the second phase of the chicken addiction, where you start hatching your own ... some nice small incubators available, and there are plenty of people who sell Legbar hatching eggs on BYC .........

Me too! 5 each of buff orpys, barred rocks and australorps. I cant' wait to get them in the brooder. BTW, have you checked your state laws on importation of poultry across state lines? Mine (Missouri) says I have to have a letter from a vet from that hatchery stating the chicks are disease free along with the NPIP paperwork.

I submitted the order yesterday!! The babies don't get here until Feb, but I'm already planning brooders and all sorts of fun stuff. My husband said no more dogs, cats, horses, or babies (especially babies) but he said I could have all the chickens I want! Wait until he actually sees all 15 babies....lololol
