1st Goose egg for 2010

So, I have a random question. I have 4 Sebbies and still can't tell boys from girls. Any good tricks w/o flipping them over and trying to sex them? They are suppose to be 2 sexed pairs, but I really can't tell a difference. Help?!

The best way is to flip them over. When I go into the pen(especially at breeding season) the male will lower their head and hiss at me and the female are usually the farthest away from me(with the ganders in the middle). Females acting like nothing going on and the ganders are raising a ruckus. I watch my geese alot too, males tend to be a bit bigger also. Hope this helps and I hope you have 2 pair.

Thanks for the help. It's pouring outside right now so I won't be flipping them over today. I seem to have one that's more up front with me than the others and also seems bigger, but not really sure.

I have 42 goose eggs in the incubator, not counting the 6 I got today. HEADS UP Some of my geese are laying at after dusk, so some of you collecting eggs, those eggs may be in the nest sooner than you think.

I always thought they were laying early in the morning...but they have proved that wrong. So now I get up early in the morning to collect eggs and I also check the nest again before I go to bed.
I had posted earlier that I got an egg from my white African, now I am wondering if it is actually hers because I have not gotten anymore eggs from their pen. I am thinking the buff pom laid one next to the fence and rolled under the fence into the African pen...I have all the eggs marked so I will know in about 3 more weeks...hopefully !

I am pretty sure it wasn't the African egg, she laid one this afternoon and was still sitting on it. The other egg I thought was hers was quite larger than this one. So I made a note to keep an eye on the first one I marked as African.
