Mine have oddly been laying on and off since November.
I must of thrown away a 50 lb. size feed bag
of frozen goose eggs since then.
My geese don't get serious about breeding and laying
steady until mid-Feb. and I usually don't set any to hatch
out until the first of April.
Too cold here to hatch out babies.
Hi CR,
Oh yes, the fun is beginning. We are getting into the 50s here during the day. We should be have really nice weather in another month. Sorry you had to throw away so many eggs ! I am sure to get a ton of eggs this year and will probably get to try out the old Model 50 Humidaire incubator I bought last year at a trade day.
After this mornings collection of eggs I am up to 17 geese eggs. I have the second cabinet incubator going and plan to set eggs tomorrow. I dread hand turning these but ...gotta do what you gotta do.
Make that 19 just brought in 2 more. Record 6 today. Got my 1st one from my White Africans..
She just laid it on the ground and I spotted it looking out the window, I have another one that has been laying on the ground that is why I keep looking every time I go by the window.
I have 3 buff saddle back Poms..but no buff gander. I have 2 of them in with a Seb gander and the other one in with a gray Pom gander. So any boys that hatch from the buff in with the gray Pom will be split to buff. How many buff Pom do you have ?
