1st hatch, day 22, vid attached, duckling shadowing?

For sure! I followed both of you so I will watch for hatching updates ☺️.
I did not realize how stressful, and anxiety provoking, incubating/hatching eggs could be lol! I have learned, though, that I definitely did not do enough research before delving in. It’s definitely been a “learn as I go” situation, which I wish was not the case.

That's how we learn trial and error and it can be heartbreaking but also hopefully helps us the next time too.
Hang in there it's almost over now.
I have 3 eggs cooking too only 1 under my one Muscovy and 2 under her aunt Joy. Lets hope and pray we'll soon be on here showing them off. 🙏

I have had many curve balls thrown at me over my hatching time
I have learned so much and now help as many as I can
I am always nervous going into hatch but also very confident as I feel I can handle anything these little eggs throw at me now
I learned to watch my eggs closely and I don’t go by day 25 lockdown
I go by my eggs
If they hits day 25 then great if it’s earlier or later that’s ok too
Shadowing , egg rocking around and air cell dropping forward quickly in a day tells me they are going to start the hatch soon
I stop turning then
If they are all like that I’ll up humidity if only a few are ahead I’ll continue to turn them and keep Lower Humidity until I see an internal pip from the more advanced
At that point everyone is in lockdown. So far this has been successful for me at 90-100 % hatch rates
I also don’t hesitate to make a safety hole after 24 hours on internal pip
It’s only tiny the size of the tac pin but gives just enough air they don’t run out while trying to pip
Usually 95% or higher they make the pip and zip out themselves
Jeep is posted
I’m hoping to see a baby by tonight as one of my broody ducks rggs had 3-4 hits Thos morning :)

Any update on the eggs?
it’s been an annoyingly busy week grrrr (lol) & I’ve been wanting to update you guys for DAYS now! Soooo…I took a look at New Duck Mommy’s twin egg pics & my big egg has those very same thick, prominent veins as her twins did! I ended up taking all 3 eggs off the turner the day I initially posted here. Since, all 3 have been wiggling quite a bit to, seemingly, prepare for pipping & hatching. I haven’t candled for a few days so not sure if anyone has internally pipped or not. Tomorrow is day 24 so I think i’ll candle just the (possible) twin egg tonight & not the others. What are your thoughts?

Any update on the eggs?
Good afternoon! First, how are your hens & their eggs doing? New babies yet?
Next, mine are on day 25 today. I haven’t a great idea about how shadowing vs internal pip differ ,look wise, bc… most videos I have found on the Internet of an internally pipped duck is incredibly obvious with the entire bill in the air cell. Is that what an internal pip ALWAYS looks like? OR, could the internal pipp be less obvious?
One of the smaller eggs (call him/her Wiggles as he/she has been very very active since week 2) has been quite today but will wiggle around a lil when I talk to it, not today. was worried so candled & once i candled it air-cell up he/she started responding/moving but on it’s side, no movement. This is the one that has a saddled air cell on one side. It seems to be pushing on the air-cell, slightly , when candled air cell up. I mean, it could’ve totally punctured the air cell, but I literally have no idea what I’m looking for. I can’t tell a wing from bill to be honest but either/or seems to be playing with the air cell.
Both smaller eggs are pretty quite today but have been wiggling like maniacs the last couple days. The bigger egg has been literally rolling around for 3 days lol. I mean, he or she, or they, seem to be having a dance party in there so, not sure what to think of that 🤷🏼‍♀️ 🤣. do you have any words of wisdom, or reassurance, for me? lol. this hatching situation is a form of TORTURE for ALL involved 🤦🏼‍♀️😳😆
