1st Hatch

Well. We started with 10 eggs. One had the red ring and was culled. Now we have one chick that hatched yesterday and we still have 8 that have not hatched. We moved out the chick today and put it in the brooder. Should we have done that? What if it's the only one that hatches? Should we go buy another chick to keep it company? I put the eggs in 4 different days and the last "hatch day" is tomorrow the first two eggs are now 23 days along, 2 eggs 22 days along, 1 egg 21 days and 3 eggs that are on day 20. Not a lot of movement nor are there any peeps. What should we do?

Actually we've had two more hatch. One more EE/Red and we think a Barred Rock/Red. Pretty sure 4 eggs are not going to hatch not sure on the other two. Do you ever candle at this point to see if the chicks are still alive? When do you remove eggs and give up?
