We just ate our 1st chicken we raised, it wasn't bad but the flavor was definitely different, it was a cornish x. Guess I was expecting a different flavor it was kinda "earthy" is this normal or did I do something wrong.

You'll find poultry raised on grass has a much different (better IMO) flavor than anything in the store. I've grown accustomed to the flavor of my birds and don't buy anything chicken from stores or restaurants anymore.
