So this is my first time incubating so please forgive me if this is a stupid question! Last night around 10:00 my eggs went into lockdown. Temp has been 99.5-100.2 the entire time, all 10 eggs showed movement and the humidity went up from 32% to 68% and temp was still at 99.8 at 11:30pm. By 4:15am humidity was still ok but the temp had fallen to 97. I got it raised by 4:45am. I'm freaking out that my babies may die now this late in the game :( am i overreacting?? Thanks in advance!!

Mine went into lock down last night.. I fell asleep with my house fan on and woke up to my DIY bator at 97 degrees.

The eggs of course are still warm inside. Part of how you can tell that is how quickly the bator warms up to temp. They are mirco heat sources themselves now.

Between 96.5-102 at this stage it is really the humidity that is key.

Our kids will be fine, buddy!

Hi, I'm a first time hatcher as well....... this is a little nerve racking!!!!
My question is..... I understand that in the last 3 days you are to up the humidity, what if your not 100% sure when the last three are?

You'll have to best guess it. If air cells have been developing well you should be fine even upping in the last week.
