Candled yesterday. 1 had cracked and was stuck in the turn rack so I had to lift the whole thing out and break the egg and clean it well before resting them all back in the Inc. The other 21 are all perfect and developing right on sched. :love

some little voice inside me told me to ck my eggs last night. 1 had a crack in it on the large side so i applied some nail polish ( i had seen in other forums here that ppl use that to try to save the egg). i candled the others and noticed only 7 have strong veins and development. the other 14 are questionable or look like nothing is happening now :fl:fl:(:(

Keeping fingers crossed! :fl

Oh no! Hopefully the nail polish will help with the cracked egg. I just set 18 serama eggs on the 27th, so I'm a few days behind you. I don't even want to touch them or candle until at least day 7, I'm so nervous!

For anyone that's hatched Seramas before, do they typically hatch on day 21 or sooner? I've heard that they can hatch as early as 17-18 days so I'm not really sure when to lock down on this batch.

I just hatched my first Seramas, a shipped clutch under 2 hens that were co-brooding. One came out on day 18, the other 5 popped out on day 19. I got a 50% hatch rate from a dozen eggs.
