I have spent the morning admiring my new momma hen, I am amazed at how she interacts with her babies, AWSOME!!!

While out with them I kept hearing a chicks distress call so I looked around inside the coop and found it. It seems to have falled away from momma and was stuck behind the nesting box, so I put it down where momma could see it and call to it to join her.
Sadly I found 1 dead chick stuck in the same place. I did see 3 unhatched eggs still in the nest so I checked them and no sounds came from them so I discarded them along with the dead chick.
All in all she had 9 babies with 8 living and doing great!!!!!
Below is pics of the new momma with her babies. Tomorrow morning when the feed store opens we will be getting the supplies we need
to fix her up a secluded place to raise her babies!

I just spent the day setting up laying boxes... Soon as I set one up & put the eggs in from this morning a
