My brahma laid medium brown eggs.

ooohh... I hope one of the babies is a brahma....I miss her.

I don't let the momma peck at me. When she tries, I put both hands on her and rub her. I take hold of her like I'm lifting her off, but I only slightly lift her. I reach under her and touch the eggs and poke the babies out so I can see them. She knows I won't hurt them.

Thanks for letting me know, these are my 1st brahmas! Now as far as my mamma game hen gos I am treading softly with her right now as she isn't done hatching, but I can say I just saw 4 really cute babies

and I know she had at least 10 eggs under her! I need to build a small area with my large dog crate so she and babies will have space away from the other 2 game birds in the coop! I wonder if Sid knows he's a poppa yet cause I know he has seen and heard the little ones!

wow!!!!!! So far I see 6 little ones and momma is still sitting

When your silkies hatch you can sneek them in with your broodie after dark and she will take care of them along with the ones she is hatching !

She won't know that they are not her's. She will mother them right along with the others.

awsome! I just may have to do it! Thanks! Now off to see if more have hatched! Silkies haven't started yet, are they late hatchers?
