Hi,
I am having problems, but only with my silkies. Two are having trouble with really dirty butts and protruding oviducts. This morning I had to give two of them a bath, which by the way they loved especially being blow dried, and I put hemorrhoid cream on them. Also isolated them in a cage by themselves. Some of them are bald all under their necks. The dirty butt problem has just affected 2, but today thse 2 had protruding oviducts. I checked all of my silkies and found 2 more with very slightly, pea size protrusions, butts not too dirty, just a little stuck to feathers. I am thinking this might be nutritional or??? Lack of calcium maybe? Or fungal?? I give limestone grit, crushed eggshells, and they have laying mash, scratch, veg. scraps and go out in a large pen each day.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
My other bantams and 2 black sex-links are fine.
Also, they are eating and perky, not happy about being confined though. Please help!

have any pictures? because one of my chickens have a fungal problem on their butt called "vent gleet". but I looked it up and I'm treating her for it. does it look anything like this?

They had baths this morn. You can see that one looks bloody, I cleaned her again and put a little antibiotic ointment on her. You can also see how they are losing feathers on their necks.

Try Preperation H , Had a pullet that slipped her duct while straining once. Looked bad, used the creme & after 3 days we could not tell which one she was. Just smear it over the area. Should put everything back in place.
