I was keeping my baby ducks in the booder when they first came. but by the end of the first month they had grown to large for it, so I moved them to a dog cage. The kind that is used to trans port large dogs. The cage has large 2"x1" squares. at any rate I went to let them out to free range and one of them cought them foot on the square. ever since than she has had one foot that steps one the other one when she walks. I brought her in the house for two weeks and gave her pyhsical therapy in the bath tube. that made her leg strong but now she walks with a limp and the one foot still step on the other foot. any ideas and suggestions would be help full.

If you have seen no great improvement after this amount of time- it could be that the damage has been permanent. Being older - treatment by tapping or strapping will not work as quickly as with a newly hatched duckling- but you could still try something like that - but I would advise that seeing a vet first may be better than just going ahead and doing it yourself- as it may make her limp worse if done wrong. As long as she can get around on her own- she can still have quality of life. Ensuring she is provided with extra safety measures to protect her from predators will be important.

She does get around. If the flock goes a long way she will stop and rest for a minute but the gets going again.
