2 !/2 month old rooster crowing!!!!

We had one 8 week old cockerel start crowing this past week and at first he sound like someone was choking him but now he sounds like a fully grown rooster with his crowing.

Another one of the same age started 2 days ago and he still sounds strange.

The other 4 hasn't started yet.

When the first one started his crowing I couldn't believe he was starting so soon. It is music to my ears though hearing my boys do their crowing.

thanks for the all the responses everyone. it is very funny sounding when they first start. my leghorns were realy old when they started

One of mine attempted to crow at a few weeks old. It was this very pathetic squawk. After a few days he went back to only peeping and didn't try to crow again until 6 months.

I ordered 10 hens online that came on April 5th, they are now 12 weeks old and to my surprise my prettiest hen with a very red comb started crowing this past week, I now have to say, 9 hens!! His crow sounds great after just a few days of crowing, I'm now hoping he'll mate with the RIR's and make a real pretty batch of chickens..

I had 2 lil roos started crowing at 5 weeks oegb and leghorn, at 13 weeks I'm still hoping I haven't got any more roos.

I got 4 freebie chicks that are supposed to be about 3-4 wks old and I thought one was hurt too.... funny noise that he makes right after my BR roo crows!
