2 Cayuga Girls & 1 Cayuga Drake

Here’s a pic of the only poop that’s different in their enclosure. I don’t know if it’s hers but it would probably make sense. I did pick her up and she’s very very stinky & this is unusual.

I couldn’t find any lumps, bumps or hardness anywhere. This is all new to me so I’m not even sure if I was touching her in the right place.

maybe she’s egg bound. she’s smaller so it would make sense she has a harder time laying eggs. keep an eye on her and make sure she is eating/drinking

One of them has been laying but no clue which one. I did bring her in so we have her just off our dining room in a dog kennel.

If she is egg bound how would I know and what would I do? I did feel her underside but I didn’t feel anything unusual but then again this is all so new to me.

just keep an eye on her for now, usually egg bound ducks won’t eat or drink much. also, the egg may pass soon. you can put her in a warm bath for like an hour or until it gets cold to help

The only thing I would add, I have a runt duck, Lou..much smaller...sometimes he goes off on his own, and he gets hurt a lot..if you think she is smaller, and you want her a bit bigger for winter, Miss Lydia suggested I put Lou on kitten food for the high protein and it’s helping...if she’ll let you..I don’t know how she lets you handle her, but sometimes I have to teach my ducks new things...teach her the ramp and how to get in the pool while the other are busy foraging? Just a thought..my ducks are my sweet spot

Prior to all of this, and despite her size, she was always one to push her way into whatever the others were up too. We set up the outside pool two months ago & she got in & out no problem.

This time was different though. Her brother & sister got in but she couldn’t so she ended up walking around the pool a dozen times so I finally picked her up & put her in.

She tried again on two of the other days but by the third day so was no longer trying. That’s not like her at all.

Recent changes: we closed up their indoor pool for the winter & they’ve been spending time outside every day with me. I always bring a bucket of water out with us and then our 10-year-old dug a hole in some mud and we fill it with water so the ducks can play in it.

Sometimes I’ll bring peas out but more often than not they just want to eat grass, play in their mud hole and drink out of their bucket.

In the enclosure she kept laying down but she’s been crouching ever since we brought her in. No idea if any of this is helpful or not but here’s a pic of her:

I just took this pic but no clue if it means anything or not.View attachment 1945257 :
Is this a watery poop?
It may just be telling us that she is drinking more than she is eating at present. Now that she is standing, she may also eat more.
Did you feel her crop? That's in front of her, and its appearance when full has been described as "foodboob". You may find comparing with your other ducks helpful. You will be able to see whether she is eating now, and ideally her crop will be full by night and empty in the morning.
