2 chicks down & I’m worried about the rest! Help!

Instead of relying on the thermometer, watch your chicks. Are they trying to get away from the lamp? If so, it’s too hot for them. If they’re all huddling under it, it’s not warm enough. Is the brooder big enough that they can get away from the heat if they want to? It’s good for them to have that option. Pictures of your setup would be helpful.

Yes, I mentioned before, They all seem comfortable temperature-wise. The remaining chicks don't huddle, but also don't escape the heat source. The brooder has plenty of extra space for them and the heat source is over to one side more.
The 2 of the 3 are very lively and active. I have 2 separate brands of thermometers and have spent the last 48 hours checking in on and watching them frequently. Unfortunately, I don't get the feeling it is the heat source. I wish it were - that's an easy fix!

I'm very sorry I can't offer much in the way of advice but I just wanted to say, I'm very sorry for your loss and I hope you don't loose anymore ❤️

Good point! I do not have them on medicated feed, but after the first chick died I started treating their water source with Corid just to be sure. I am not sure how long it takes to take effect though! Do you know? I suppose the next 2 could have just already been too far infected.

It should take effect relatively fast, but if they are debilitated and not getting enough medicated water, or if they have too much intestinal damage, it may be too late. I always recommend chicks be started on a coccidiostat as a matter of course.
