2 chicks with 2 hens

Very nice! I would like to do same showing weight where you show ages / names in the captions. Mine differ in that feather set changes are made obvious because of coloration and feather shape.

Do you mean so that you can see by their feathering at a young age which gender they are?

With some yes if as adults they exhibit marked sexual dimorphism. By the time the begin acquiring their second set of feathers (juvenile feathers) at about 4 weeks post-hatch some of the body feathers on males are decidedly reddish while brown on their sisters. With next brood try to mark the first flight feathers with a permanent marker when chicks are about one week old. Then watch for loss of those marked feathers. Then mark their replacements with a different color. Also try collecting some of the feathers from a specific location on wing, then measure and note differences in shape, particularly distally.

Voice can also be used.

I am getting lots of help from 1 year old daughter so typing compromised more than usual.
