Nice photography there, Jen! I sure wish I could take pictures like that! How do you get those nice close up shots so clear? Is there some talent to it (cuz I have none), or is it the camera?

Jenjscott what kind of camera do you have that takes such fantastic pics?

It's a Nikon D5000 with an 18-55 Nikkor DX zoom lens, camera set on closeup mode and with a little extra lighting on the sides using one of these. I got mine at walmart but its the same thing.

But I have had some nice pictures with my little fujifilm finepix E550. I went to ebay to try and find a pic and found this for sale. Excellent price of $77 on a used one on sale on ebay with 7 hrs left

I still carry this one when I don't want to lug my big one around, like on mushroom forays or sometimes out in the chicken yard.

this is a picture I took with my little fujifilm. Like I said, a lot of it is just taking a lot of pictures. With digital, you can afford to shoot a hundred pictures and pic your favorite.
