No I love all the information don't stop. And I haven't candled again. Yet. So when do we get to????????

Those chicks are unique. They are independent but sweet. Fast, fast, fast if you try and catch one. No wonder bugs and mice don't have a chance with them around.

Sekinkead has 5 out and another pip so I think that leave three to still need to pip.

I agree with Germaine .... I love to hear all the stories, advise, recommendations, etc ! Do tell!

BTW ... I'm practicing my hatching skills.. (If there is any skill to it!)

Here is my schedule:
It's gonna be a busy 3 weeks ....
140+ eggs in the bator, and are due (starting now!):

Jan 24 ... 20 Silkies and 3 mutts (2 green eggs) DONE!
Jan 28 ... 11 Specials part 1,
Feb 4 ... 10 Specials part 2, and 6 Wheaton Marans
Feb 6 ... 36 BBS Orps and Naked Necks
Feb 12 ... 26 Buckeyes
Feb 13 ... 30 BBS Orps and Naked Necks

Silkies are from my flock, as are the mutts I threw in (why? I dunno)
Specials are from Jubaby (see: https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=98335&p=1 ).
Wheaton Marans from berkeleysprings as a test hatch.
BBS Orps and Naked Necks are from jmhappycowboy (note his BBS Orp stock is from BamaChicken, Miss Prissy, CoRancher, Catalpa Farms, and Jnjross ).
Buckeyes from JamesA.

Note ... My silkies are all penned together for the winter. Roos: 1 Splash, 1 buff, 2 white (sold today!). Hens: 4 buff, 2 blue, 2 white. My buff flock all came from jmhappycowboy, that he hatched from BamaChicken eggs.

Silkies ... 16 out of 20 ... they are now gone to their new home!
I have a pip! I have a pip!

There has to be 3 Kathyinmo's. No one person could possible go from one post to the other gazillion posts in the amount of time our Kathy does. There has to be 3.

Update: I woke up to 9 babies in the bator!!

The last 3 haven't even pipped yet but I am going to leave them alone until at least tomorrow. If there are no pips when I get home I will remove the 9 that have hatched and move them to the brooder. Maybe when I get home from work there will be more to greet me.

I had the web cam up but I can't get it to stay in the right place so I took it offline late last night. At that time I had 5 babies out now that I have 9 I am pretty sure I am close to being done. The last 3 haven't done anything yet, but I'm hoping to have a surprise when I get home from work
