Squishy, I wouldn't think you'd need engineered stamped drawings? I know every county in Florida is different, but are you sure you can't just make the drawings yourself? Also look into wording it differently, smooth over the zoning department and find out if there is an alternate name you can have for it, garden shed? I would think you could separate the chickens from the coop as far as the county is concerned, they can't tell you exactly what the building will be used for.

I hope everything goes well for you. The county can be a pain, but sometimes you can find that really nice, person willing to help you out in there.

No matter, this engeneer guy sounded like he would cut me a break.
Looking through all the different permits listed you even have to have one to build a fence!

Awesome coop, sorry about your permit troubles. Hopefully it will all work out smoothly. I had a question as how you did the roof with the flare at the bottom. Do you have a picture of before you put down the tar paper?
