2 day old chicks

We know where they came from, (up the road and around the corner). They have Araucana's and Silky Bantams and some big pretty chooks. They have ducks & quail as well.

The little grey one does look like it may be silkie or part silkie. Does it have feathered legs and maybe 5 toes?
Maybe silkie/Araucana cross?

I'm not sure. Sherrif, one of our 6 week old chicks has 5 toes & it's docile.

The gray one might be an Araucana. Or a cross of Araucana and something else.

Araucanas in Australia have muffs & beards on their faces, and crests on their heads (different than the breed called Araucana in the USA, and also different than Ameraucanas.)

Did you get the 6 week old from the same place? Silkie crosses often (though not always) have 5 toes, but will be smooth feathered if they are first generation crosses. They will also usually have feathered legs and crests and also beards if the silkie parent is bearded.
I have an Ameraucana/silkie cross that has all these traits.

Actually do not see much silkie in this one. Looks like maybe a wyandotte mix? 5 toes possibly from Dorking?

That could be a Silkie-mix. Silkies do have the gene for rose comb, and for 5 toes, and for dark skin.

(Of course there are plenty of other mixes that could also produce those traits.)
