About 4 weeks ago, one of our chicks died, unexpectedly, really without warning. She was about 20 weeks old. She was an unknown mixed breed and she spent a lot of time shivering. Then, 2 days ago, the other chicken of the same "breed" died.

We treated for mites about 2 weeks ago, and then a few days ago (11 days after the first treatment).

Some of my chickens (not the "chicks") are molting, and 2 of them went through a really hard molt. Both of those chickens are looking really good right now, but their combs are really pale. Is this normal?

My other chickens still have nice red combs. Some of my chicks are really pale in the comb still, even at 22-26 weeks. Thanks for all the help!
