2 eggs per day!

I was reading another post about someone getting two eggs from their quail in one day. Well, this has happened now 2 days in a row. I have 5 hens and am getting 6 eggs.

The only change I have made is changing to Nutrena feed from Purina. It was the only feed available and I had to have something to feed. Well, this feed is much better than the previous batches of Nutrena feeds that I have used (Not as powdery). Apparently, it has some magic formulation, too!

I have it happen sometimes, mostly in my tuxedo pen for some reason and also my one other pen. A hen will lay an egg early in the morning and then again around normal time. It doesn't happen every day though! I appreciate when it does happen though!

Oddly, they laid these eggs around the same time both days. I noticed a small bit of blood on one, so I guess that was because of the strain!

that's weird!!! my tuxes lay twice a day too! one in the morning, one between lunchtime and early evening.
