Friday and WV gave perfect advice... 48 hrs from the internal pip before they hatch is always what I give them... Lady Grey took 72hrs, so it just depends on when they are ready...

Keep the humidity up, but not too high... over 75% compromises the oxygen levels... best to use coconut oil or ointment on the membrane to keep it moist... watch the veins, any veins just let it sit... keep the bill clear and just wait...

Also, if it's still absorbing it will keep making 'yawning' motions... if it's still doing that, definitely leave it in the shell...

I never, ever pull a Call out of the shell... taking a Call out too soon almost guarantees a bleed out... they are so small that they will bleed out quite fast an not survive...

With shipped, it's much harder, but really all you can do is keep the membrane moist, bill clear and wait... some may not make it still, but rushing is much worse than waiting...

Just be patient, they'll be out when they're ready...

Lucy, what are we all gonna do for excitement once you get all these eggs hatched?

You need to set up a webcam for us so we can watch the babies. As for the latest pic of the 6 pack. They are just too cute to be legal!

Every time I see them and go 'ahhhhhhh look at the babies!' My husband pipes in with, 'oh, no, no ducks! Don't even think it!'

He got me a Brinsea Eco for Christmas. I promised not to fire it up till spring.......
