Crowly and Raven. My neighbor actually thought a couple of crows got into my run and told me about it. ;) I was like... noooo those are chickens. She felt pretty silly when I told her. I thought they were sumatrans but now.. Im not 100% sure. One has neck feathers than form a curl toward each other into a ridge along the back of her neck. The other has a weird mini comb that starts out flat and black then becomes this mini ridge of a comb... I'm posting pics..they are REALLY shy birds so its hard to get good pics of them.

Both have shiny black feathers that tend to have greenish sheen.

Crowly: Note the curly feathers at her neck:

(in front) Note the comb diffrence and the curly neck feathers

Raven: VERY shy and hard to get pics of.... Note the mini comb. Shes very small and petite over all.

(in the rear of the above picture with two black birds)

Next to my phoenix hen who is also not a very big bird. Shes bigger than my other bantams.. but not by much.

just for funs sake... here is a chick pic of little Raven next to Chickzilla (my biggest hen...although not by much now.. she was HUGE as a chick though):

as young the comb, wattles, and face are all black. since they arent white/yellow in color when they start turning red it mixes with the black to give you that mulberry color. i have noticed with our hatchery sumatras their combs arent the right color and they are slightly off on comb shape/type
