I just got 3 bigger Ameraucaunas, probably about 5-6 months old and at least one of them laying and then five 4 month old Rhode Island Reds all on the same day for my new flock. They are all in a big run- 6x12 feet and have a 6x3 coop with two nesting boxes. Two of the bigger birds really pick on the littler RIRs. I go out 3-4 times a day and find the RIR in the coop and the 3 biggies in the run. I have to encourage the little ones out so they can get food and water. I kind of sit between them and the bigger girls to give them a chance. It has been 3 days, is this a big deal or should I just let them figure it out? They aren't drawing blood or feathers, but essentially just chasing the little ones away from the food and water.
