2 hatchers goin.. 2-3 days til hatch

I have had many “cheap” styrofoam incubators over the years and they all crap out eventually, but some can still serve well as hatchers, they won’t hold temp consistently for 8-10+ days but with the humidity bumped up to 60-70+ I've found they work great for lockdown 2-3-4 days no problem.. just thought I’d share.. that lets me save 3-4 days on the newer incubators and get them cleaned and back to work faster..

I sort of do the same thing. I got a faulty turner with an incubator, and when I contacted the company, they replaced the whole thing and told me not to return the faulty one. I use that one as a hatcher.

Another advantage to having multiple hatchers is that you can incubate more than one breeding set at a time and still keep them separate so you know which chicks came from which lines.

30 Jumbo Wilds and 30 Jumbo Mix from Myshire Farms in these 2.. and bonus 6 of my Rosetta in a hatch bag separated from the others..
