A week ago one of my hens started brooding so we gave her 9 eggs and put her in a pen by herself. Didn't want her collecting anymore eggs. Now today I have another hen brooding. I would like to give her some eggs to sit on. My question is, can I put her in the same pen as the other hen that's brooding?

Tough to say. I've heard of hens who go broody together and then end up raising the chicks together!

But, then I've also heard of hens who attack each other and try and steal each other's babies.

So, it completely depends on the birds. Do they like each other and get along? I'd say it's your call on this one. But, you can always try it and see if they accept each other. If they accept each other when broody, then chances are, they'll accept one another's babies.

Good luck!

I like you have 2 hens go broody was fine on their own nest eating drink no problems. Until the babies hatched. 14 between the 2. One was a first time mommy. Well older hen took all the babies wouldn't let other hen anywhere near them.
