* 2 Hens In 1 Nest: Please Help

I got the pictures this morning!

I was about to go to school so I went out to feed my pets and I saw them for the first time. Both! were laying in one box on their corners...laying!

I took like 30 pictures. Haha. I will upload them sometime soon and should be up by 7:00PM tonight on my website under the Onagadori section.

Very beautiful sight...and I got to class ontime too!!! Haha

You have some gorgeous birds on your site. I wouldn't mess with the nest. I wait to see how they do. I know many birdsoo who co-brood.

Thanks!

Yeah, I am not messing with them OR their nest. Haha. Let nature and their friendship guide them to do what they could do and brood together. That would be so fun! They won't be board...be like:

Destiny: Hey Charm, Hows your baby doing?
Charm: Good...but all this sitting is tiring and boring
Destiny: You want to play tic-tac-toe with these hay?
Charm: How do we make O's...?

I heard Charm said this morning: "Xs are easy, how exactly DO we get Os?"

Lol.

In my mind, I had the answer for them but unsure if they will understand what I am saying : )

Hi! I have 2 broody bantams sitting on a total of 3 eggs. They are due to hatch Saturday. They kept getting in the same box, so we just left them. They seem to prefer to be together. We moved them to a separate coop from all the other chickens so they could hatch their chicks. We'll see what happens. Here's a picture...

Hello,

Wow! So I am not the only one who has hens that do that. Its really nice that they do though because that just shows how dedicated they are to just "hatching their young" rather than who is going to be the mother. I think its just a real sweet thing...

My Silkie hens ALWAYS share a nest; they each have their OWN nest box, but they won't use it. They even go broody together; they've hatched out a community of chicks, and they share raising them; even the rooster calls the chicks when he finds food. I think thats pretty much a Silkie trait though.
