I want to cry.

I noticed yesterday that polish hen and my Black Tailed Japanese hen, they both have 1 eye that is shut. The polish hen has a clear liquid. I smelled the Polish's eye and it did not smell funny or anything. They are in with roosters with other hens, but they are all bantams. And I just got 2 cochins and 1 cochin/silkie mix, from a clean breeder, too. Plus 3 easter eggers and 2 royal palm turkeys this past May.

And our land is VERY dusty. The horses stir up the dust really badly.

I am going to take them both to the vet tomorrow at 3:00 pm. Have your fingers crossed!

I am just going to keep telling my self they are not carriers of anything that can damage my flock. It is something the roosters done or maybe dust.

Here are some pictures. Sorry some are blurry.

First is the Japanese Hen.

Next is the Polish Hen. I couldn't get any good ones of her. And she was just nagging me, that is why her mouth is open. By the way her eye just started looking crusty. :/

Some of my baby chicks' eyes are shut. I don't think it's an infection because a heat lamp fell on them and they were trapped. That happened on Wednesday. Should I put any cream on their eyes?

How do you give it?
Thanks
Valerie

You put it in their water. It is like a yellow powder, 1 Tablespoon per a Gallon.

I am not real sure. Sorry I am no help. Do you have a bird/exotic vet near you? I would call and ask them.
