My chickens head is jerking she doesn’t do it all the time but she does it quite frequently, I am new to chickens and I made the mistake of feeding them layer feed with my bigger hens, and from what I’ve researched it says that had jerk and can be caused by a nutritional deficiency, and I can go get Nutridrentch for vitamins but I’ve also seen how layer feed can mess with there kidneys or something and hurt them, so my question is 1. do you think this head jerking is coming from a nutritional deficiency or something else and 2.
how can I feed my younger chickens differently than the older ones I only have one coop and one run, thank you

Flock Raiser by Purina or all flock feed can be used to feed both chicks and adults, as well as nonlayers and roosters. It would be good to see a video, uploaded to YouTube or Vimeo with a link posted here, of the head jerking. Is it head shaking? Or is the neck going back and forth?

Will this mess with their laying ?, and okay I’ll try to post a video soon, it is a jerking from the center position to the left and back to the center

Is the jerking rhythmic which might indicate seizure activity? Or does it seem like the neck is twisting, which could be wry neck?

It isn’t twisting , and it isn’t all the time only occasionally, it seems to favor going left and when it does it it does it kinda quickly like 4 or 5 times to the left
