2 month old chicks losing feathers, wounds and «scabs»

Hey.

So my ~ 2 month old chickens has been losing feathers, and today I discovered some wounds with a thick crust. What can this be and what should I do?

Are they with same age chicks? Where are the wounds located?

Yes they are. All hatched from my own flock. They ar on the back under the wings.

I would check for mites or lice. Are they scratching themselves or pecking at each other? What type of bedding and heat are you using?

They peck a little at their festhers yes. Sawdust as bedding
