Tractor/trailer coop build

It’s not even really dust-bathing. They’re just digging for the coolness.

Wow, did they trash the coop, the five days they were in there. What a huge difference when they poop all day in the run.

And. No more food and water in the coop either. Much better now.

These chickens are a pleasure, hope they have a good life here on the stead.

The girls are 16 weeks today. This is what they have been eating for 6 weeks. Little to no treats, just a few mealworms and blueberries once a week. All seems good, but one bird may have some loose dark stool.

I am wondering if now is the time to offer free grit and oyster shell. No one is laying this early.

I always have grit available. The birds I have eat oyster shells when they need it, so I always have that out too.
