The person who actually cares for the chicks is often able to notice things that do not show up in pictures (examples: how it acts, or whether it has a bigger comb than others of the same breed & age.)

Yeah she's a really great local lady. I figured I would take the risk. It's always easier to integrate a couple of friend chickens rather than a single. Both breeds were on my wish list anyway but it's hard to find them when they aren't day olds, soIn that case, probably pullet, but not a certainty.
