The Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia!
What could have gotten them?
One a huge drake...One a hen...Both full grown...a third hen that was with them ok.
A coyote maybe ?
I've lost 8 chickens in about a 2 week period before this happened.
Live in outskirts of the blue ridge mountains of Virginia.

An adult drake is pretty big and heavy...nothing left behind...no clues to go on ..?

Oh dear,

well one possibility due to the time of year is she has gone to set a nest, he will hang about usually for awhile. The next? a dog is a REAL possibility it's how i lost two drakes(1 QUITE large) 2yrs ago, the one farm over has a huge Irish wolfhound(pure or mixed)

The next wolves, coyote, big cats(mountain lions etc) bears and so forth, foxes can usually grab the smaller ones.

I am sorry, i am missing a duck myself right now.. no signs of anything, she wouldn't come in and had set a nest... i am hopeful perhaps she has just set elsewhere and return, she was full flight, were yours?

I'm missing my beloved muscovy hen Smooshy. I really hope she is sitting on another nest somewhere or flew off to find a muscovy drake. She mates with my other drakes but she has to do a lot of parading around. to get there attention. She was my fave.

Sounds similar to what happened to two of mine (not at the same time, though). Eventually found out indirectly that it was a neighbor's retriever - and that the neighbor was proud of it...
I wouldn't call that person a neighbor. It's someone who lives next door or near you. They're not neighbors.
