2 of my 5 Jap Bantams died. Skinny, won't eat, tiny bugs in feathers??

You sure can! I would wash them first because the dust could get on them, but the dust is not getting into the bloodstream or into the ova in any way so there will be no contamination.

I'd be more afraid of eating the eggs after worming...

Thank you for the kind words Wynette!

Be careful when you wash those eggs. The water should be 10 degrees warmer than the egg itself. If you use cooler water or water of equal temperature, the pores of the egg will suck in the sevin dust and anything else on the surface. Do not let the eggs soak. When you are finished washing the eggs, coat each one lightly with mineral oil to prevent spoilage.
Wazine only treats roundworms, so it will have no effect on the mites. For mites, you'll want either ivermectin or Eprinex, or if you can, apply permethrin or sevin dust topically. Any of these treatments will need to be repeated. Repeat ivermectin or Eprinex in 10 days. I would repeat the dusting at 5 days and 10 days, though I have no evidence to back up that assertion. Best of luck.

I bought the flea/tick stuff the gal from the feed store told me to use on the chickens AND in the coop.

We also bought a packet of Terimicin (?) but can't figure out the dosage on the pack. I tried google, my husband and had no luck: it says 400-800 MGs per every 2 gallons of water. But cannot find something that goes to 800 anything.

We put 2 heat bulbs in the main sockets in the roof, so hopefully that will keep them warm.

Last week was hard, we lost 5 baby guineas (the cold?) and a Cochin and Bantam.

Oh, and our 3 peafowl have been in trees for 4 days and won't come back into their coop!

Hopefully, they'll be ok now!
