I have these two beautiful pullets. Not sure their exact ages, any guesses as to how old they may be? I believe Goldie is an Easter Egger and Red Stilts is a Golden Laced Wyandotte. They are both squatting when I approach them Goldie more than Red. Just an eager beaver here, too excitd for their eggs.

How long have you had them....and where did you get them?

Welcome to BYC!
Where in this world are you located?
('milehigh' - Denver maybe?)
Climate is almost always a factor.
Please add your general geographical location to your profile.
It's easy to do, then it's always there!

Where in Colorado, looks like the metro area? I just got my very first egg, ever, today from my RIR. She is 19 weeks and a few days. Started checking out the nesting box about two weeks ago. Started squatting about four days ago. Heard a short version of the egg song two nights ago, and laid her first egg today.

I'm near the Golden/Arvada area. They squat but haven't shown much interest in the nesting boxes. I suppose I just need to be more patient with my ladies.

Is this possibly my EE first egg? Or is it more likely to be from one of my already laying hens? Is this normal?
