2 Really Faint Lines = Positive Pregnancy Tests Or...

I disagree! Since you've been trying for so long, and have been seeing all these specialists, you are a very special case! It's only fair to you & your babe to have this pregnancy confirmed ASAP! You not only want to have it confirmed, but know that your hormone levels are increasing at the rate that they should be. If this doc is really a good "friend" then she should not only understand, but also encourage you to get professional attention right away.

I pray for continued blessings, a good "set" and a great "hatch"!

Yup! Your preggers!! A Home Pregnancy Test measures ONE thing- HCG, the pregnancy hormone. Doenst matter how much or little, just whether its there or not. HCG only shows up AFTER implantation as it is the baby that creates the hormone. ONLY a pregnancy can cause that hormone (excluding any RX drugs you may be taking like fertility drugs).

This from a mom of 5 and one more on the way! My current preg had a VERY faint line too, so its common. Keep testing if ya want, a darker line can sometimes make you feel better, or like the preg is more 'real'.

So, yeah, go to the DR (dont keep us waiting!!) and join us over at the expectant parent thread!!! CONGRATS!!!

GOOD LUCK!!!

It took a year and a half for us to get pregnant with our first - now 20 months. And now, we also have a 4 month old!!! My suggestion would be that you get the test that says "pregnant" or "not pregnant" and then wait for your appointment. Maybe even a regular 8 week 1st pregnancy appointment - I know, sounds like a looooooong time to wait! I went as soon as I took the test and it was kind of a downer. Yeah, they confirmed I was pregnant, but that was it! It was way too early for a heartbeat or anything so they said "well, technically you're pregnant but there's no way to know yet if it's a viable pregnancy, so you just need to wait..." That freaked me out more than anything I think. If you get a test (or 5) where there is no doubt, just celebrate with your hubby and do a happy dance!

Fingers crossed for you!!!!

My midwife always says, "There are no false positives, only false negatives'.

Early on in my pregnancies the lines are always really faint, but I have always been pregnant

I have also had a false NEGATIVE.

Congrats!!!!

I remember peeing on that test.....waited and confirmed pregnant with one bold and one faint. I just blinked.....blinked again......trying to sink it all in and how I would tell it to my bf/now hubby and how we are going to "include" our baby in the wedding plans we started to make the plans the month before. And the fear I've had on his past.....long story short, he should not have done it but all it matters that he was here for me and still here!

I can say I love my pregnancy even with all the aches and pain but the best part was not having no morning sickness!

You should call back and see if they can just do it on a walk-in basis...this is not uncommon...and tell them you have approximately 70,000 people waiting for the news.

Really.

LOL! I can see what I can do. I'm about to head to work, so I'll try and call them on my afternoon break. You can wait that long, right?

I'm the blue one....

I guess I can wait. I've already done all of my breeding, and my first just turned 15, so I have to live vicariously through you guys and your baby-popping. Why do you think I have 6 incubators?!?!?!
