2 roosters & 5 hens

We have 2 roosters & 5 hens. The 2 roos don't seem to get along. Should I get rid of 1 (an Amishman said he would take it)?

I plan to get more hen checks in spring. Not really shore how that will work out. Oh - by the way I've only been doing the chicken thing since July. (help cause I'm pretty bum at trying to get eggs). Thanks. John

Getting rid of one of the roosters will most likely calm things down in your flock. The quarreling between the roosters will most likely escalate as will the wear and tear on your hens. Welcome to BYC, and good luck with your flock.
