2 Roosters Have Arrived !

One week together and all is going well, the Lav orpington seems to roost with the red sex links (older girls). Black Orpington roost with the younger gals.
Now I'll just keep an eye on over mating. I still have not seen the black one mate at all yet. Lav is definitely more assertive, Black one not so much kinda chill go with the flow.
I guess that's it for this tread I will only post here again if something changes.

The 2 Boys had there first fight 3 days ago. Nothing that I would consider meriting intervention. I figured at some point they would be challenging each other. I have kept an eye on them since I first noticed the scuffles. Now yesterday and today the are eating, preening and walking next to each other so I guess they got it figured out for now. Really hope this works out with both as I would prefer the protection of 2 while I am not around. And for having 2 they don't crow much at all. Morning and midday are about it unless they see me then it's all out music festival.

Update:
The two roos got along well but the hens were getting over mated and the feather loss was getting bad so I sold the black roo and kept the Cuckoo Lav for future breeding. I hope I made the right choice as the black roo was extremely friendly with me and the kids. The Lavender is friendly but not nearly as much as the black one. He is good to the girls tho. So I guess we shall see how this works out. I really really wanted to keep both but I think with spring approaching the boys were getting alittle to active. Luckily he went to his new flock for 10 of his own girls about 5 miles away. Really pleased he avoided the soup pot.

I think you did the right thing. You kept the one you wanted. He's dominant, but not aggressive and now the black has a flock of his own. It's a win for everybody.
