Ok hears my problem I always go to 2 shows every year one on the 30th june the other is 1st July but I'm away to ansterdam for both so I'm going to entre in 2 very big show I've been to the show many many times but just want a bit of advice what to take I've some of my prized win champs already picked and are currently away getting a specialist to cheack over cause there's a lot of rules for these 2 shows

My auestque to put it simply is which of these birds should I take the breeds will be in a poll
I will get picks later but all these birds will be fit and at there best when they go

If these are APA shows, I'd skip the polish if you intend to bring a rooster you don't own with her, since it's against the rules to show a bird that doesn't belong to you.

It sounds like you already have your best birds picked out and ready to bring, and the rest of these in this list are others you're thinking of bringing too.

Barred wyandottes aren't APA accepted so if yours are LF I'd skip those. If the show is ABA accredited and yours are bantams, those are accepted by the ABA, so in that case you might want to bring them. Same with your phoenixes; white LF phoenixes are not an accepted variety, but the ABA has bantam white phoenix accepted, so I would bring them if they are bantams, but not bring them if they are LF.

Gold is not an accepted variety of booted bantam so those could be left behind as well for that reason.

Take your best birds. Usually the shows I show at are APA sanctioned shows. The judges may not be the same judges from past shows and often times they are double shows. Each judge, judges the birds by his interpretation of the SOP (Standard of Perfection), so one judge may mark your coop tag as Champion and another judge Reserve Champion, or BB (Best of Breed). Good luck and have fun...

I agree that the OP is probably in Europe.
I don't know what applies over there, so because of that when I cast my vote I am disregarding the standards for that breed and basing it off other factors.
Personally, I would take the white Phoenix pair. Especially if by pair you mean one hen and one rooster.
This is because Pheonix's are very impressive as it is and if you have a rooster with a really good tail and good conformation that is good points right there. Same for a quality hen.
Not to mention that if you have a white Pheonix that you can keep clean and crisp, well, that is even more impressive and you may score a little better depending on the feather quality.

True, the OP may not be from the USA. Often fairs have more flexible rules and have a utility class where you can enter just about anything (Sex-Links). The OP could enter all of the birds. I take my best and place well. At my last show my Single Comb White Leghorn took Reserve Champion and some others took Best of Breed. I'm happy with that.

OP IS from across the pond.
You can see in their post history.
