2 VERY different black pullets.

Same age- 17 1/2 weeks.
The large one is LARGE. she has a small comb with some black in it and a green tint on her feathers. I thought she was jersey giant but the bottoms of her feet are not yellow. Maybe they were once, but I can't remember. Lol.
The little one has white ears and a purple tint to her feathers. I think she is a black Andalusian. Just going from the list of possibilities. I got the rare breed pack from My pet chicken.
I got 3 Cochins (2 partridge, 1 white), two salmon faverolles, a splash Maran, two Anconas, a lakenvelder, a Barnevelder, a partridge rock, and these two

Does your larger bird have white on the bottoms of her feet? If so, I would say she's a Black Australorp. I agree that your smaller bird is a Black Andalusian.

The larger bird in back definitely looks like a Black Australorp. WalkingOnSunshine is right; if the bottom of her feet are white you can confirm that she's a BA.

The bottoms of her feet are gray and white. Are Australorps fast growing or especially large birds?
I would love an Australorp, even though they are not on "the list" of possible breeds in the pack of birds that I ordered. I feel like this bird is HUGE.

Australorps mature pretty rapidly and begin laying at about 20 weeks or so (faster than your Cochins or Faverolles), and they are larger birds than your Andalusian, Ancona, Lakenvelder, and Barnvelder (about the same size as your Maran). An Australorp might mature faster than your Maran, but I certainly wouldn't think it would mature faster than your Partridge Rock.

The Barnevelder is the second largest of them all. She is tall and reminds me of a duck because of her coloring and a goose because of her walk and her stretched up neck. It's funny!
