i've always wanted chickens so i went to a pets/feeds store and got two chicks yesterday - a speckled sussex pullet and a cochin.
the vendor for the cochin was different so they said they couldn't confirm the gender, but if it's a male then we have to return it (noise issues) : '(
he/she is REALLY REALLY ADORABLE though and i really want it to be a pullet so i can keep him/her so i was just wondering if anyone has any guesses on the gender , though ik he/she is still really young at 2 weeks

ALSO how do i bond with my speckled sussex i really want her to like me but she's a bit feisty and not too attracted to feed in my hands. today she splashed water and got a bit wet and wouldn't let me dry her and acted all mad : (

if anyone can help, even if their guesses might be wrong, i'd really appreciate it. thanks !

Very pretty babies!
Speckled Sussex and Cochins are friendly breeds, give them time. Don't grab them from above, let them become accustomed to your hand nearby for a few days.
It may be a month before you can guess the sex....
