2 week old chick gaping, lethargic

My son's favorite chick started gaping today. No sound, just almost looks like she's dry heaving. I rubbed her throat a little in case there was something stuck. Her tush is clean. She's been like this all day the poor thing. Im giving her an antibiotic bc I don't know what else to do and my son is so upset. Will she make it? Should I be doing anything else/ anything differently?

Sorry that your question was not answered in a timely manner. Did your chick live? Gasping is a sign that something is wrong, and in young chicks I would give some electrolytes or Poultry NutriDrench right away, look for something stuck inside the beak, and check for pasty butt.
