2 week old chick with swollen abdomen, mushy chick disease?

Looks like a swollen abdomen to me.
Could be Ascites, which is fluid in the abdomen, cause can be numerous things.

Could be Mushy Chick, not as likely since the chick seems to be alert.

I would see if the issue resolves on its own in a couple of days unless the chick is in clear distress or having difficulty breathing. Then draining fluid could be the next step.

Okay, thank you. because the bulge seems like it's not the entire lower abdomen, I think it may just be a blister.

Hazel's acting fine for now, I think the bulge is slowly getting worse so I might just go ahead and drain it soon.

Help! I noticed Hazel, my 2 week old Easter Egger, has a squishy super swollen belly. I think it might be mushy chick disease but I have no idea. She's acting fine, eating and drinking like normal, but her belly is really concerning. I've been giving her garlic and ACV. The caked on stuff is garlic paste. I want to treat her naturally, without any vet visits. Any advice is appreciated!

Hi everyone. I haven't drained Hazels fluid yet, but she's growing, exploring, and doing fine. Her blister isn't growing at all and I was wondering:

Can it go down on its own? About how long would it take to absorb?

Anything I can rub on it to help it disappear? Thanks.:)

Can you get some clear, well-lit updated photos of her abdomen/blister now?
