2 weeks after severe injury hen still not drinking nor eating effectively.

To answer your question, no her crop isn't full.
That would concern me.....could bring her in at night, makes sure she eats/drinks night and morning....then let her spend the day out with the flock.
IMO, if a bird can't feed and water itself, it's only a matter of time before the end comes. I've got one crated out there right now, she's not going to make it.
 
She's back in the indoor crate. Thanks for helping me decide. A week from today we have a long-planned family reunion in Santa Fe for 4 days. She's got a week to build herself up or I will have to try to find someone who will let her camp out at their house. Either that or she will be returned to the flock and we'll have to hope for the best. :hmm

What's up with your hen? Was she injured? I hope it's not dire and for a good outcome for your hen as well. Lauren

Nothing is obvious, just not moving, eating, drinking. Won't know until I open her up, maybe not even then. Not all can be diagnosed or fixed.
