When is it okay to start giving my chix apple cider vinegar and how much? My chix will be 2 wks old tomorrow.

Thanks!

I started giving it to mine when I got them, they were four weeks old
They have THE nicest feathers now, real shiny and soft..............
2 tbsp per gallon

I gave ACV to mine when they were just a couple of days old, and they're 5 weeks and growing (and GROWING). One batch of chicks isn't a track record, really, but they didn't keel over dead....

How much are you supposed to give. I read someplace that 1 tsp per quart of water? Does that sound right?

1-2 teaspoons per [bGallonb] In summer when there is a lot of mosquitos and Algea i put 2 tsp 's in. In winter i put 1 in.

Recommend it 10000%

I've always read here that it's 1 TBS per gallon. That's what I do with my chickens as well.

There's 3 tsp in 1 TBS and 4 quarts in a gallon. So I'd do a little less than a tsp.

I haven't started my chicks on ACV yet, but I will probably next week. (they are a little over a week old now)

I give mine ACV 2 or 3 days out of the week and electrolytes 1 or 2 other days of the week and plain ol' water the rest. They're always curious which it's gonna be!!
