It's a good idea to keep some medications on hand for emergencies. Corid and something for wounds and then an antibiotic for things like e-coli or respiratory illness. Chickens hide symptoms for as long as possible so by the time most notice something is wrong, they are far into the illness. They are also very hard to diagnose. Good luck.
