2 year old, me at wit's end, doesn't want to sleep

I am a nurse, but I don't play one on TV, LOL!! Really though, if something is waking the baby all of a sudden, there is something definately amiss. My guess would be gas, teeth or ears. THE BEST thing for teething is Hyland's teething tablets. They are homeopathic, and over the counter. They melt on the tongue in a second, and they will make the difference of a lifetime. Give them SEVERAL and wait 10 minutes, and you will have a new baby. If it's ears, you need to get to the doctor TOMORROW. Sometimes its a subtle change that can lead to big trouble. I would try the teething tablets TONIGHT, they have them in the baby section at walgreens. They are in a light blue and pink box.

You're doing the right thing! It's best to make sure there's nothing wrong healthwise that is keeping him up before dealing with a temperament issues.

My daughter was fine with going to sleep unless she had been sick. Whenever she had teething/cold/fever issues that I had to treat during the night, after she was better she would pitch a fit at bedtime for the next few days. She just got used to seeing me at night. My husband and I agreed to ignore her, but man, was she stubborn. It usually took 3-4 nights of crying before she clued in that we weren't coming to get her. Then she would just lie down and go right to sleep again, until her next illness!

Hopefully, you and your hubby can decide to work though this together. I am also the tougher one when it comes to the kids, so I know what it is like. But, hey, having a balance is good, too.
